About Us
In 1986, seven couples joined with the Missionary church with the vision to plant a church in the fast growing area of Granger, Indiana. The New Church, as it was originally called, had an explosive start and great leadership. After an amicable parting with the Missionary church, the church changed its name to Cornerstone Community to better reflect its values and mission. Today, after a few lean years, the church remains non-denominational and has re-energized and re-focused its efforts to impact this community. In January 2007, Cornerstone brought in Greg Frohna as the new Lead Pastor.
What do we believe? See our statement of faith on this page.
Our leadership. See our leadership team on this page.
What are your services like? We strive to create an environment for worship where people are encouraged to experience the presence of God. Our music style is an expression of contemporary culture yet is driven by lyrics that reflect our reverence to an awesome and holy God. Our messages are bible based, creative, and offer practical insights to relevant issues that concern everyone. We want your worship experience at Cornerstone to be one of the best hours of your week!
What should I wear? We believe that what a person looks like on the outside is not nearly as important as what is on the inside. On a typical Sunday morning you will see people in jeans, khakis, skirts and when its warm, shorts. Dress how you feel comfortable.
What about my Children? We welcome your children (Kindergarten-5th) to Big City Studio. This dynamic environment was designed with children in mind to teach them about God's grace, mercy and love in creative and fun ways. Children (infant-pre Kindergarten) are invited to Small Town Junction where caring leaders teach the same truths about God with age-appropriate methods.
Where does my teenager plug in? Currently we invite your teenage student to attend the worship service with you. Our new student leader, Joe Ward, is putting together an exciting schedule for 2008 where students will be taught about what it means to live a life that honors Christ, while also understanding that the life of a Christ-follower is an exciting adventure.
